Flu, Non-Avian

Nothing dramatic, nothing with epidemiological consequences.  Just enough to slow me down -- and to provide another excuse about why the blog still isn't back on form.

Possible cause -- too much atonement combined with too much rain.

Meanwhile, Glenn Reynolds quotes a reader who explains why Avian Flu won't be as bad as advertised.  OK by me -- except that I tend to worry a little when policy optimists use words like "never." 

Still -- provides balance, I suppose.
